The very best thing about this hotel was the fabulous concierge service. When we visited in November of 2005, a woman named Bee took care of our every need, including a huge back of wet, muddy dirty laundry, that needed immediate (and inexpensive) attention. The hotel prices for laundry were too high so Bee had it sent out for us. She also arranged a customized tour for us, which worked out amazingly well. After hauling us from mountaintop Wat to the very border of Burma, our guide was even able to help us locate the largest suitcase in Mae Hong Son, to schlepp back all those wonderful gifts we'd purchased. I liked it that we were the only Farangs in the dining hall for the extensive breakfast buffet. And I loved the room service massage at the end of a long day, right in my very bed by a polite, efficient and skilled Thai lady.
