Too bad

by Anonymous user from Chonburi, Thailand, 22 Sep 08

Never come back to this hotel again. Dirty, poor staff. Look like 20 years ago. Look like only me and husband only a customer in this building. So scary. Poor bellboy.

We will sure NOT go back

by norbert from austria, 27 Jan 08

The location is very far from the city, a lot of RIP OF TAXI around. The staff unable to speak English and not very helpful. Maybe 20 sunbeds on a pool for 200 people
the rooms are very poor serviced.

Kids love the rooms

by Anonymous User from Singapore, 12 Dec 07

Stayed at Ocean Wing. Rooms were big, clean and very good view of the ocean. Staff at reception counter friendly, especially Jill. Quiet and relaxing place. Need transport out to nearby beaches and city but these are easily available from hotel's taxi counter. Other wings seem to be rather quiet and not too well maintained.

Never again!

by Barbara Speirs from United Kingdom, 8 Nov 07

We were booked into the garden wing. We chose the hotel, because it is set on the beach. The garden wing was awful. It had no pool-was hundreds of yards from the beach-dirty-with a old army camp feel to it. So much so-we called the manager-and demanded an upgrade. We got the choice of two other rooms at the Ambassodor or ocean wing, for an increased cost. We chose the ocean wing-and the room was fine. We complained about cleanliness of the bathroom on two separate occasions. The Hotel complex overall is so vast, its like holidaying at an airport. Just cold, and impersonal. We would never go back there.

I liked this hotel when I came it was really nice ... The staff were slow with room service ...

Thats other way I had a pleasant stay. Also when I went the so called volleyball court was not set up ... All the sports stuff was really really expensive...

Great place to go

by Annonymous User from Los Angeles, 4 Apr 07

I don't know why there were so many bad reviews of this place. We found that the beds were comfortable, the rooms were clean, the pools were great and uncrowded and the food was marvelous. It was good in every way. We were in the ocean wing and the view of the ocean was amazing.

Not recommened

by Ronald from Indonesia, 2 Nov 06

Ambassador Jomtien have BIG and nice swimming pools. The room that we got is ocean wing. The room were poorly maintained, have bird nest and spider web on balcony, old furnitures, smelly carpet, dirty bed and leaking air condition. After complained directly to the front desk, the lady only said I know! ... What a surprise!!! The replaced room didn't even better, but at least this one didn't have bird nest on balcony.

No smile from the staffs, as if we stay here for free. Once is enough ... not recommended to anyone.

Consider going there if you don't have any choice!

by Mr. and Mrs. Thomas/Evelyn Guin from San Francisco, California, 24 Feb 06

Well, the hotel is located in an excellent location as it is very close to the beach. The hotel is real huge and they have good and nice swimming pools. It is not too far from the city but the ride is too expensive far expensive when you go to Bangkok.

As of the bedrooms, we booked for a king bed size but it turn out that we have 2 single beds. It's also well supplied in terms of soap and shampoos but the towels are very old and a lot of cockroaches in the bathroom and in the bedroom we turn out asking them for insect spray as there were no rooms available.

The food was terrible and very expensive. My husband got insect bites which lasted for a week from all those insects in the bedroom or maybe from the restaurant. It was terrible. We decided not to go there again. We just wanted to try a nice place in Pattaya...and we've got that great experience! We will surely not get that hotel again...am sure there are more beautiful and better place.

Not recommend!

by David from Japan, 26 Jan 06

Inconvenient location, incompetent staff, old dingy rooms. Think of a chain hotel gone bad. Only 2 English speaking persons in guest services the day we checked in. Many large groups stay there and clog the place up and make for long lines at check-in and check-out. Many US military there with their "dates" made for an unsightly scene. 20 minute tuk tuk ride to downtown and hotel "services" were non-existent.

Warning!!!! Never stay here.

by Kevin Kositkun from Bangkok, 16 Sep 05

Went with my girlfriend, first off the hotel is about a 20 min. drive from the city, and they don't even have taxi service. I called in my reservation and when we got there, they could not find it. It took at least 30 mins for us to check in. When we finally got the room, it wasn't the one I booked, the room we got was more expensive. I told them and they said it was OK, the rooms are pretty old for a hotel of that size.

At 11 pm, they call our room to tell us that they were going to charge me extra for the room. After arguing with them for 20 mins, they let it go. Seems like everyone there was a trainee and had no clue what they were doing. Oh and the beach is really dirty. Would never stay there again, even if they paid me.
