First class
by Anonymous User from Northern Ireland, 9 Oct 08
In a nutshell this hotel is first class, staff always wiling to help and always smiling ... there is a bit of building work going on behind main pool but nothing to upset your holiday. In closing let me say to anyone going to Pattaya and looking a good hotel, this is the one to book.

"ARECA" Gold! Gold! Gold!
by GREG FAUX from GLENFIELD -SYDNEY- AUSTRALIA, 18 Aug 08
I can now yell Areca I've found gold, this hotel has it all, price, comfort, decor, service and staff who are forever tending to your every need. We spent twelve unbelievable nights and are due back here next April, the four of us were spoilt and on our return there will be eight . I can assuredly confirm that this hotel will be the place that we will be holidaying always.

Excellent hotel and good value of money
by Harri Laine from Finland, 17 Jul 08
Location is excellent in heart of Pattaya. Hotel have 2 good swimming pools maybe a little construction noise in Corona wing pool but I hardly noticed that. Very good breakfast and cosy atmosphere and clean room, i really like.
I recommend this hotel to everyone its good value for money and maybe the best what Pattaya can offer for this price range.

Only problem at the moment is the hotel are building an extension so there is building noise and a crane in use at present, due to be completed next April, but it didnt spoil our stay will be going back again.

Could be so much better
by Alistair from London, United Kingdom, 16 Mar 08
However, they have some strange policies. One is that you have to obtain a breakfast coupon from reception each morning. You surrender this to the female 'guard' at the entrance to the breakfast room. Very odd!!
There is a sign on the front of the room fridge saying two bottles of water are free each day. That's a common practice in Thailand. However, in this hotel there are two different types of water in the fridge and no indication as to which one is free. On the first day I took the 'wrong' type and I was called to reception to sign for the 30 baht [about 50p in UK money] charge. When I objected, for the reasons above, they raised an enormous fuss as if I was trying to steal a huge sum of money. What is worth more....30 baht or a customer's goodwill ?
This hotel also has an age limit for joiners in that they must be 20 years old or above. It was very embarrassing when my guest was refused entry as my joiner was 'only' 19!!
