Slightly better than average - reasonable value
by stuart hayes from London, UK, 28 Aug 06
The pool is decent. The location is in the heart of Pattaya, though very close to girlie bars. However, there aren't many places in Pattaya that aren't! Room pretty average/functional. Good choice of satellite TV channels (cartoons for kids). Not bad value for money, but there are hundreds of similar hotels of similar standards. The apparent number of repeat visitors must say something positive about the hotel. However, we felt let down by the failure to take an interest in the booking error which slightly soured the stay. Other than that, no complaints whatsoever. Breakfast pretty good too!

Please don't drag me back there again!
by Rickfarang from Udon Thani, 16 Mar 07
1. The people at the front desk were helpful.
2. The maid woke me up from a desperately needed nap, in spite of the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door, so she could give me my brother's and my laundry. Why couldn't she deliver them to my brother's room next door? He didn't have a sign out. The sign was in both Thai and English, and I must assume that, working in a hotel, she had seen one before and that somebody might have explained it to her.
3. The breakfast buffet had nothing for someone who is vegetarian, save a piece of dry toast and a splash of coffee when you could get it. I wound up eating breakfast across the street.
4. My room was above the dining room, and music wafter up through the floors all day, starting with when they opened for breakfast. The sound of heavy iron chairs being dragged over the dining room floor was quite loud, meaning that I awoke when they started serving breakfast, whether I wanted to or not.
5. The room was supposed to be a deluxe room, but apparently all they did was bolt two twin beds together (can't sleep well with a gap the size of the Grand Canyon in the middle of the mattress!), and add a tray with instant tea and coffee - nothing like the deluxe room I had two years ago.
The bed was pulled out from the wall because there was a single night table fastened to the wall. You had to walk around the bed to answer the phone.
The room, which was in the older building, was a disappointment, especially after paying the premium for a deluxe room.
6. The thermostat on the air conditioner seemed strange. By morning, the room would be freezing, regardless of where I set the thermostat, unless I turned if off.
7. There were copies of the Bangkok Post in the lobby.
Your experience may be different. If you stay there, I certainly hope you get a better room.

Have to be careful
by mhe from Denmark, 25 Oct 06
Disappointed that the cleaning staff billed you for beverages you did not have. And that they took/stole money you have put on the table.
Besides the cleaning staff it was a good experience.

Could be so much better
by Alistair from London, United Kingdom, 16 Mar 08
However, they have some strange policies. One is that you have to obtain a breakfast coupon from reception each morning. You surrender this to the female 'guard' at the entrance to the breakfast room. Very odd!!
There is a sign on the front of the room fridge saying two bottles of water are free each day. That's a common practice in Thailand. However, in this hotel there are two different types of water in the fridge and no indication as to which one is free. On the first day I took the 'wrong' type and I was called to reception to sign for the 30 baht [about 50p in UK money] charge. When I objected, for the reasons above, they raised an enormous fuss as if I was trying to steal a huge sum of money. What is worth more....30 baht or a customer's goodwill ?
This hotel also has an age limit for joiners in that they must be 20 years old or above. It was very embarrassing when my guest was refused entry as my joiner was 'only' 19!!

Good place to stay in Central Pattaya
by Anonymous user from Singapore, 13 Aug 05
Staff friendly, rooms clean! Breakfast a little bit boring but of good quality! My room had a direct view in the rooms of the next hotel (really close!) ;-) Will come again! Very good value for the money!

Very happy guest
by Phillip Thomas from Austrailia, 26 Mar 06
The 2 swimming pools were spotless, and the breakfast was very good. I loved your big open lobby leading on to the pool. This place is very good value for money and I will be returning again next Feb for a longer stay!! Thank you all.
