Going back asap

Good hotel, top place to stay in Pattaya, near loads of bars, shops and places to eat etc etc.

Rooms are cheap for what you get, OK gym, good pools, staff good, enjoyed myself, will return there asap.

Still can go back to that hotel when comparing with the rest around them.

Con: For this hotel is that they do not provide with toothbrush which was unexpected for me. But luckily there are many 24 hours shops around like Family Mart and 7-11 stores where I can get those stuffs. Communication with the staff in English is still alright. Some of the thing we ask not all they figure out what we were talking.

Pro: People there are friendly even the chamber maid is funny -- as in chatting, requesting for stuffs.

Food: The breakfast that was provided during my stay of Friday, Saturday and Sunday were all the same and eating three days the same stuff is abit boring. The food is 'alright' overall.

Additional: One more of the swimming is in the construction stage when we were there (June 06). Bet that it will be a good relaxing place. The current swimming pool is still alright.

A little gem

Excellent hotel, good value for money. My wife and I would definitely use this hotel again. It is located in the heart of Pattaya right amongst the action. Very close to Mike's shopping mall. Two very nice swimming pools.

Very clean rooms and in good decorative order. The hotel is modern, comfortable, and conveniently located with friendly and helpful staff. I have stayed here on many occasions (every time I visit Pattaya).

Great place to stay

Very friendly and helpfull staff!! The location around the hotel is quit, no action noise, and every place is a few minute walk. The rooms were clean, spacious, good comfortable beds, and had a safe.

Great hotel . . . great value for mony and I will definitely be back!

Good hotel for relax

It's a hotel which simple, quite, and relax. It's quite good as the price is cheap. But the hotel is a bit dark, not enough lighting. The front desk is helpful. The food is OK, and the room with balcony is a bit small. I can't enjoy my sun bath there.

I will be back!

Really pleased with the hotel. I booked a Deluxe room to get a in-room safe. The room was excellent, although the bed was a bit hard, but that is a subjective opinion, some people like it hard.

The staff, from the cleaning lady to the bell boys and the front-desk staff were all very service-minded and did everything to make the stay as pleasant as possible. They were also fairly good at English, so communicating with the staff was no problem at all. Did not try the pool area or the restaurant, but both looked very comfortable and respectable.

I will be back!

Enjoyed staying there it was great. The staff were great, the location was fantastic, the food was very good. Will stay there again with out doubt. The rooms were good the service and staff were excellent.

My third time staying at the Areca, and will be returning again in November. A great place to stay with friendly staff and close to basically everything in Pattaya. Totally recommended.

Don't waste your time

Overall, the hotel was nice. I would give it a perfect rating had I not been lied to. First, I thought there was no limit to how many females I could have in my room. The first night was OK because they let me check in three girls with no problem. That second night though the staff wouldn't let me have more than one guest. That took all the fun out of my trip. I had to book a separate hotel room my last two nights in Pattaya. I should have stayed at the Penthouse Hotel. They had no problem with me bringing as many females as I wanted to my room. If your into the group thing like I am, don't stay at the Arcea Lodge.
