We stayed 25 nights and by our next visit to Pattaya we will be staying certainly again in Areca Logde. The hotel was spotless clean and in walking distance from shops and beach.

Fantastic

I stayed at the Areca Lodge for five days and really enjoyed my time there. The swimming pool is large, an adequate gym, guest friendly, very friendly and helpful staff and nice balcony to sit out on and read. I would recommend the Areca Lodge and would definitely stay there again

Slightly better than average - reasonable value

Booked a Deluxe triple, was given a Deluxe double with additional kids bed. Staff refused to admit to booking error or look into it, blaming it on the booking agent (and vice versa!).
The pool is decent. The location is in the heart of Pattaya, though very close to girlie bars. However, there aren't many places in Pattaya that aren't! Room pretty average/functional. Good choice of satellite TV channels (cartoons for kids). Not bad value for money, but there are hundreds of similar hotels of similar standards. The apparent number of repeat visitors must say something positive about the hotel. However, we felt let down by the failure to take an interest in the booking error which slightly soured the stay. Other than that, no complaints whatsoever. Breakfast pretty good too!

Low season - avoid

Very good hotel apart from the new hotel being built next door and a pool closed for repairs. Basically low season so hallways stunk of paint as redecoration.
Overcharged for mini-bar and chief cashier refused to take it off. Not very good customer service. Other staff helpful and breakfast good.

Excellent

The hotel was spotless. the staff where friendly and couldn't do enough for you. We went in August 2006. Booked to go back in October and staying at the same place.

Excellent Hotel

I stopped at the Areca lodge for 10 nights it is in a great location it real impresses the locals when you tell them your staying there, the pools are excellent, I stayed in the deluxe room which was very big and comfortable, the hotel staff are friendly, I was a bit put off by the cost as their are plenty of cheaper hotels in Pattaya, but when you get there it really is worth that extra few pounds, I will stop at Areca lodge on my return to pattaya, this really is an excellent hotel ...

Good location in Pattaya

Good hotel, not any big problems. Only, I get confirmation for smoking room, but could not smoke in room, only on balcony.
Girls who clean room are speaking and sing very loud at morning time ...
Rooms very nice and clean, perfect shower. Big and clean pool, perfect location ,but not loud.
If I go to Pattaya I come back same hotel.

Areca top hotel

Staff always friendly, and manager very pleasant ... nice outdoor bar. Stayed here several times and never been disappointed. Staff have good sense of humour and will deal with any problems you have with your room ... will be back again soon.

Back again in April

Great hotel, great service, pool area is excellent, rooms are very clean, I think breakfast should go till 11.00 am, really enjoyed my stayed. All the hotel staff are very friendly, they all deserve a pay rise.

Have to be careful

Areca Lodge is great hotel. Helpful and smiling staff,
Disappointed that the cleaning staff billed you for beverages you did not have. And that they took/stole money you have put on the table.
Besides the cleaning staff it was a good experience.
