It's a little bit far from Pattaya centre but can't complain about the hotel itself, people are really helpful and the rooms were good. Food was excellent and the free shuttle bus into Pattaya goes every hour, very useful!

Since first visiting Pattaya in 1990 when I stayed in the town itself, I have since ventured further out to the Cholchan Hotel. I have been over ten times since & have always found the staff to be very helpful. The pool is exceptionally clean & the private beach is quiet with security guards keeping an eye things & beach staff to bring you a lounger & padded mat wherever you wish to sit. The food is wonderful, although expensive but there is plenty to keep your belly full with some small restaurants on the road to the hotel approach. A 24hr bar & restaurant is also right opposite this hotel with a garden down to the beach.

The rooms are spacious & very clean & the beds are the sort you dream about when you're back home.

The free shuttle bus is a convenient way to get into the main town & once you are familiar with the local 'Baht buses' then a cheap return journey can be negotiated in the early hours of the morning!

All in all, this hotel has an ideal location for anyone who doesn't want to hear the hassle & bustle of downtown Pattaya. I normally venture into town on most nights, but a lovely peaceful day can be spent by the pool or in the spa at the hotel & the tv in the room shows HBO if you fancy a night in with a movie! The foyer also has various tour reps who are more than happy to arrange trips for you & who will give you advice if you wish to discover the area on your own.

This was our second visit to the Cholchan Hotel. It really was paradise that provided all the essential components for a fabulous holiday. The staff could not do enough for you and were extremely accommodating. We found everyone really caring and helpful and made our holiday one to always remember.

At the Cholchan they really make the extra effort to ensure their residents are happy. We were also pleased that the hotel was not located in the centre of busy Pattaya which naturally was very noisy, however a short 10 minutes drive in a local taxi, that are ridiculously cheap transported you to your chosen destination. Nice location away from the center of Pattaya but a free hotel bus every hour to get in to the center and a free bus ever hour to get back. Plenty of places to eat outside the hotel if you so desire. Pool was kept clean and the areas around it. Staff very polite.

We did not dislike anything about Cholchan at all. The staff are wonderful they can not do enough for you nothing is to much trouble. We have been going to Cholchan for over ten years, we love Pattaya so much we are emigrating over there in 1month. It is our home. Cholchan is a home from home extremely relaxing and peaceful.

If you treat the staff with respect they will be your friend for life. We have a great deal of friends whom we keep in contact with, and that is what has kept us going back time and time again.
