Will definately stay again

by Ashish Parikh from India, 9 May 07

We will definitely use this place when we go again to Pattaya.

The breakfast was excellent.

The location is very good. Not on the main road and at the same time quite near the main beach.

Good location Good value Will certainly return.

by Al Trussell from California and China, 21 May 05

The swimming pool is great. Good location in north Pattaya and easy to get around Pattaya yet removed from the heavy traffic of the beach or walking street.

This is my second time to stay at Green Park. I stayed in the Bungalows and it was good. Probably will try the regular rooms next time just for a change. Good buffet breakfast.

I shall return

by Billy from HKSAR, 25 Aug 05

I have stayed once at hotel room. Big big swimming pool, breakfast was fair and crowded. Staff was girl friendly. Room was average but clean. Location : good, quiet and not crowded. Walking distance to supermarket, food stall, 7-11 and Big C.

The best choice in Pattaya at this value. I shall return soon.

by Dan Spencer from Sasebo, Japan, 28 May 06

Really great pool. I took a long time to check in and check out..but the location was great. BUT there were lots of ants and knats in the room.

Would Recommend to My Mum

by Mick R from Herne Bay England, 3 May 07

We initially booked for a few nights because we arrive early and could not get into the other hotel early. After the first day my family did not want to move so we extended our stay at Green Park and canceled the original hotel. We had a Family suite that was very good value. Excellent pool and good breakfast and ideal location.

Beautiful resort in a decent location

by RADHIKA MEGANATHAN from TAMIL NADU, India, 27 Dec 07

I stayed in Green Park Resort for two nights and three days during the second week of Dec 2007. We were a family of four.

What are the pluses?

1. BIG plus... we checked in at 10am, and they didn't bat an eyelid. Their check-in policy says 2pm, but our flight landed us in Thailand at 5am, so we really didn't have any choice. I realize that if the room had been busy, we could have ended up waiting in the lobby, but it was so nice to see smiling faces, when we were all set for a battle with the management!

2. We got the newly renovated family suite in the first floor, which was spotless, clean, and overlooked the beautiful pool area. The air-conditioner worked only too well, if you get what I mean, I was always cold, but I guess westerners would be delighted. The fridge was stocked well and the phone service was prompt.

3. The place was so beautiful, and pleasant to stroll around. It was so hot in Thailand even in December, and it was cool inside the resort, due to the greenery. The pool, esp., looked fabulous....

4. The place is located in a respectable part of the town, if you get what I mean. I hardly saw an older man with a younger woman in this hotel... but may I just got lucky. I did see a lot of elderly tourists.

5. Last, but not the least, was the breakfast buffet. So many dishes.... yumm!

Minuses... yes I have 2 -

1. I had booked a day trip with a local travel agent and when they had called up in the morning asking for us, the front desk told them there was nobody in the hotel in our name! I mean... I do agree that my last name is Indian and may sound tongue-twisty, but that very fact should have alerted them, don't you think?

In the end, after many calls since 7am (or so the travel agent tells me), the agency sent a person to meet us in the lobby, which he did. And I cam down around 10am and sat there right before him... and we didn't know each other! Lol, it was almost funny. After some time, this guy very hesitantly asks me if I was Ms. M, and I rely yes, and we had this really funny introduction :)

2. The hotel sells internet cards at 100 baht per hour, the ones which keep tab on how long u use the net and when the one hour is done, you are automatically logged out. It was too costly, which by itself is terrible, when you have an excellent cybercafé outside for 1 baht per minute, but the net at Green Park was so slow... and get this, even when the connection went dead, the time in the card kept on getting reduced! I remember getting awfully mad cos' of this...

In summary, I think Green Park is a cool resort, a beautiful place to stay with the family or significant other. My only caution tip would be - don't browse the net there!

One last tip - The hotel restaurant and room service menu at Green Park costs the earth, so if you want some delicious Thai fare at good prices, then the SIP AND BYTE restaurant (the one located in the entrance of the road, near the taxi stand... you can leaf thru a menu on the road) will be ideal. It serves amazing food at really nominal prices. The owner Wang is a very friendly man, and also arranged taxi for us to visit the night safari at Khao Kheow Open Zoo. We had sumptuous lunch and dinner here for less than 600 baht! (That's for the four of us, excluding liquor).

The Green Park nice, Pattaya horrible

by Beers from Holland, 6 Nov 07

The hotel was nice. They were building at the time we were there, but we had no inconvenience from it. The pool is big and beautifully. I'm sorry to say that Pattaya itself was HORRIBLE! What a sad place to stay between all those 'poor' man who made themself look like a fool with those 'girls'.

Would stay here again

by Ann-Louise Danielsson from Sweden, 6 Sep 05

The location was great and the pool was fabulous. The bed linen was changed every 2 days so that was great. The bungalow was so so. This since all the walls were not completely attached to each other (you could see out in some corners since the cracks were 2-3 cm wide). I would still recommend the place for people who are not too picky since my overall experience was positive.

the Swimmingpool was the best!

by yavas murtaza from Germany, 21 Aug 05

At first we had a Bungalow, but this was not a god idea it was old , dirty and very small. After we change the bungalow in a normal Hotel room, it was much more better, cleaner and friendly and not so small. Don't book the Bungalow!

Don't take bungalow!

by Jenni Muurman from Finland, 21 May 06

Pool area is really great! Nice poolbar! Breakfast OK. We first had superior bungalow, that was terrible. Untidy, dirty towels and linens. Lots of bugs, especially in shower room. We complained about that and after that staff weren't helpful at all, finally after two nights we got room from hotel and that was much better.
