One of the best

by BAZ & CAZ from ENGLAND, 17 May 07

We have stayed here three times now and wouldn't stay anywhere else. This hotel and its staff are exceptional, can't do enough for you and always a smile. The rooms and furnishings are beautiful and spotless as are reception and pool area. A real value for money place.

Nice hotel

by Annonymous User from Hong Kong, 10 Apr 07

Stayed there for a night and found the hotel location is pretty convenient as it nearby some pubs and the beach. Also, so many snacks to eat around and with a special decorated car with lots of variety of drinks, I love it so much.

Single men

by baza from Tokyo, 3 Apr 07

What can I say!! I have stayed at many hotels in Pattaya over the years and this is one of the best, the food at breakfast was a bit average but overall this place was out standing.

If you are a single man or men looking around, STOP looking, this is it, this place is clean, friendly and no extra charge for guest, and basically no hassles.

There are some crap hotels in Pattaya (for example Arcadia Waters, worst hotel in the world and its 5 stars) If you are here for a party, go no further than this hotel.

Not so good

by Anonymous user from england, 16 Mar 07

I have stayed here 7 times in the last two years ...when it first opened it was a superb place and slowly but surely over the months it has detiriated ... poor cleaning ... unhelpful staff ... over pricing and the only world you ever here is tip, tip, tip. I moved out last time i stayed there in February and found a room near by which is by far better. I'll go back in one month but it won't be to the Metropole ... thats for sure.

Re - booking in October

by David Tierney from england, 26 Jan 07

I have just spent new year in the Metropole in Pattaya, two weeks in all, all I can say is I am re-booking for October. It is brilliant. The hotel is first rate and the staff very friendly. I recommend this hotel to all with the exemption of families with kids. Pattaya is not for young children.

Sdom & Gomorrah

by Nedova Alexander from Kiriat Bialik, Israel, 7 Nov 06

The hotel is very impressive, the rooms was well equipped and the standard room has a DVD.

But if you want to visit Pattaya with a children, look after more "quite" place. It means - no drunken "types" (!) that running out on the corridors after 10 p.m. (!!) and try to catch girls which they brought away with them from the outside(!!!).

The breakfast was so-so, the hotel orders dishes from another hotel, not recommend to use the restaurant. Pool is not large, but gym is good enough.

Great Rooms no Service.....

by David from London, UK, 14 Oct 06

The LK Metropole is a great place to stay if you don't even need to come in communication with the staff. Which can be great if you are in and out, but if there is an issue that arises you can probably bet your frustrations that it won't get dealt with or worse off they will tell you yes, but in all reality they don't know what you are saying and there will be no results.

The selection of television stations are laughable and often times their premiere sports channels won't work due to lack of paying the bills.

The LK free Internet is an even worse case. At times the WIFI doesn't even work and more often than not more people are in the lobby trying to get a connection or complaining about not getting access.

As for price it always seem to be increasing and they gouge customers during the high season with an additional 10% increase to an already inflated price.

Though the rooms are nice and the location is great if you want a place with staff and proper facilities for you to enjoy your holiday you might want to go something a bit more up market.

If you don't need the things mentioned above are not important then you will have a nice time at the LK Metropole.

Can't believe this is only a 3 star - deserves higher!

by Christine from South Yorkshire, England, 1 Sep 06

We stayed in a 'studio' which came complete with kitchen in August 2006. After being allocated a totally unsuitable hotel, we eventually found the LK Metropole by viewing numerous alternatives. This hotel is definitely superior to others, the rates are very reasonable and I would recommend it over the others.

The only negative point is that despite advertising 'no visitors in the rooms after 7pm' the hotel did allow overnight guests (local Thai girls of questionable repute) however, they were very discreet.

Good all round hotel with nice pool and SPA. Close to Centre and Bars. Breakfast not too bad if you can make it! Staff is helpful. Nice VW bar in car. Can't wait to go back.

100% going to stay there again

by Tommy smith from Plymouth, England, 16 Jul 06

Best hotel I have stayed in by far, top value for money. The service was second to none and you can live like a football player for the price of a average hotel in England, and there was a top cocktail converted vw camper van outside which served the best drinks in Pattaya.
