This hotel is absolutely fantastic. The room was absolutely huge, with a massive bed the centrepiece of everything.

The location is fantastic, right in the middle of the action, but once you were inside the hotel and had the windows shut, you couldn't hear the noise from outside.

I had a room in the new side of the hotel with a great sea view.

Highly recommend this place.

For starters, I wouldn't recommend going to Pattaya at all unless you're a single man looking to hook up with a young Thai girl...this whole town is disgusting. The hotel's best feature was the great pools (one complete with old fat guy and two Thai girls!), but there is construction work going on two doors down, the whole place only has one elevator, there was a substance suspiciously like blood in the 'sand fountains' near the elevator, and the breakfast is terrible; limited options and prepare to pay if you want more than one small glass of juice. I'd travel through Pattaya to see the awe inspiring "Sanctuary of Truth" and a lady boy show, but this place really is a dive.

Upon arrival the air conditioner was not working. After a call to the front desk, an engineer responded within five minutes. He changed the compressor and it worked fine.

Very happy with the service and staff on the hotel. A bit nosy at night, for light sleepers. In a great location.

We definitely enjoyed our stay and have recommended Sunshine Residence to our friends.

It would be nice if there is a room service menu in the room. Nevertheless, the food is delicious.
