Quality and price not hand in hand!

The hotel is too secluded. Once you do manage to get there you have to rely totally on the hotel even to buy an extra bottle of water for which like every thing else you have to pay 5 star hotel prices (which the hotel is far from).
Transport to and from the hotel is very expensive. Upon arrival the hotel does not even provide pickup from the Ko Noi Pier to the hotel, free of charge. If you want to visit the rest of the Island you will have to either hire a long-tail boat to reach the pier of the village or you can rent a jeep at your own risk, as the road to the village is rocky and dangerous.
Before going to the hotel we inquired if we could rent a motorbike to drive to village and the hotel misinformed us and told us that we could. Upon arrival they all advised us against driving a motorbike as we were not familiar with the road and they thought it was too dangerous for us. We ended up renting a jeep, which also was a disaster as we couldn’t return to the hotel due to a thunderstorm and land slides.
The beach is nice when the tide is high but in low tide rocky and one cannot swim. The views however, are stunning and best on the island. Staff in the restaurant is very friendly but front desk staff is very unprofessional and disorganized. We asked for transport from the hotel to Ko Lanta via Krabi and they promised to provide private transfer from Krabi by long-tail boat. However, upon arrival in Krabi we discovered that we were being transferred by private van for which we had paid way too much and the driver had no clue where we wanted to go. Also please be aware of misleading information provided to guests with terms used such as half-day rental (meaning 3 hrs only) and full-day rental (meaning 7 hrs only) for car rental and other facilities.
Restaurants are very average and the western food is better than the Thai food. Also long waits once you order food, which is normal in Thailand but in this hotel it goes to the extreme. The Island has other hotels like Ko Yao Bay Pavilions and Ko Yao Island Resort, which are more suitable in terms of value for money.
