Exactly as described.

by David Taylor from West Yorkshire, United Kingdom, 9 Mar 08

Great position on the beach, only 1000m away from the Bangla crowds, but bars, shops, only a few metres away.Good breakfast selection plus bacon every day. Clean, friendly, exactly what we required.

Looking forward to next year!

by Iris May Trevatt from Kent, United Kingdom, 21 Feb 08

Stayed at this hotel one week previous, still the high standard given then. Had small problem with bedroom air conditioning which was resolved immediately by hotel engineering staff, can't get better than that!

Very friendly staff always smiling and helpful, could not fault in any way our stay at this hotel and would recommend anyone who requires a hotel on a medium budget to choose this one.

Would certainly come back again.

Choose this hotel if you are on a medium budget

by Iris May Trevatt from Kent, United Kingdom, 21 Feb 08

A little gem of a hotel, clean and comfortable room excellent breakfast service, kind and considerate staff, even to the point of their little security man holding up the traffic allowing us to cross the road.

All facilities, although small, perfectly adequate. Only one small teeny weeny complaint, had to leave.

Baan boa rules!

by frank anthony douglass from hawaii, United States, 23 Nov 07

I can't say enough good things about the Baan boa resort, I paid twice as much at other places and they weren't nearly as nice. The staff was very nice and helpful, I had a room that opened right out to the pool which i enjoyed swimming laps in.

The restaurant was nice. Some people don't like the location being so far on the south side but I like it, its just a short walk to anywhere and when you want quiet, its there.

by omri israel from Israel, 1 Nov 07

The hotel is nice but close 2 him there's a construction zone that can make u very unhappy especially when u r trying 2 have fun in the pool.

The best room's are the one's that have access to the pool mack sure that u got'em.

I've enjoyed the hotel a lot.

by from Spain, BCN, 13 Sep 07

I've enjoyed the hotel a lot. Some rooms are seaview and other swimming pool view. All of them very comfortable. Good breakfast, the swimming pool is big and very clean. The hotel is well located. Patong has a little inconvenient: it doesn't have sunsets because of the location.

Average

by Catherine from Singapore, 16 May 07

I like the hotel... value for money. But I wasn't very happy though on the day that we were leaving. I was informed to pay the taxi directly to the driver and yet they are billing me again before we leave. I already paid on the day that we arrived. I believe this is kind of a miscommunication between the person who told us and the person billing us. But truth is they still ruined everything on the day we left. Imagine, we still have to wait around half an hour before they can confirm if is it really true that we already paid. we almost got late for our flight back. It's just hideous to get suspected that you never paid!

Good Value for Money

by Werner Jean Booysen from South Africa, 23 Apr 07

Very good located on the Beach, Very helpful staff, only draw-back is the lack of a lift. The bathroom needs attention, but the room self was very big and clean. I will recommend the hotel for any Budget wise traveler.

Good

by masa from Tokyo, JAPAN, 17 Mar 07

I stayed at a twin room.

Good
The room was big and there were a lot of empty spaces.
The shower pressure was very high.
The beach was exactly in front of the hotel.

Poor
The hotel was little far from Soi Bangla. (about 10-15 minutes on foot)
The bathtub was so small that I couldn't feel comfortable.

There was a Japanese staff. But she told me she was temporaries.

Patong not as good as it used to be

by Grant from Brisbane, Australia, 24 Feb 07

At the south end of Patong - a bit of a walk to Bangla Rd (but, a direct walk up the beach front), but right across from the beach. Rooms were large and clean (they have a safe), the pool looks clean.

The downfall - the unfriendliness of the staff. Everybody from the towel boy, through to the reception and restaurant staff.

Like most of Patong, it almost seems mandatory that you have to light up at breakfast etc. Do not stay here if you want a smoke free environment around your food.
