Bangtao Beach Chalet Phuket Reviews & Ratings

We stayed at Bangtao Beach Chalets for 3 nights, our only wish was that we could have stayed longer. After being destroyed by the tsunami, this gem of a hotel has bounced back. We were greeted by very friendly staff, they were all very keen and helpful, but could spoke very little English.

The beach is literally around the corner and is about a minute's walk away. It's a lovely white sand beach with trees for shading & was very quiet when we were there. The hotel is located about 25 mins drive from Patong, good for shopping and night life and cost +- Bht 400 by taxi one way from hotel. There is a taxi office next to the hotel where you can also hire scooters for Bht 300 per day. We did this on our last day, great fun, but watch out for potholes on the road and ask for helmets.

We ate in the hotel restaurant every night as there wasn't any many restaurants about. The food in the hotel, Thai & western, was excellent, they do not serve any alcohol though, you can bring in your own. It was not too expensive, average dish cost +- Bht150-200 plus 10% tax. The hotel has a lovely small pool with sun loungers with beautiful garden surroundings and because it only has 10 rooms it's always quiet and serene.

We loved it here, and would definitely go back!

The hotel is located across the street from Bang Tao Beach, situated in a quiet spot, but within direct reach from everything you need. The 10 bungalows are big and well equipped around a lush tropical garden. The only thing we missed was a soft bed, Thai beds are not like we Europeans are used to.

The staff is wonderful, anything you want they can get for you. If the beds would be changed we would move in there!
