Near the beach but that's it. Nothing much to do at night.

Book this hotel as it is one of those that accepts a family of 3 adults and 2 kids. Thought it will be quite vibrant as it is near to Banyan tree resort.
Unfortunately, the area was one of the worst hit tsunami area and still patches of fallen trees and ruggles muddy area along the way. The hotel is situated next to the beach. However, it has 2 areas, the one that they house you in for the cheaper rates are those that is a distance away from the swimming pool and the beach. And it is a great inconvenience especially during rainy season in July ! There are not much eating place there and you have to eat at the hotel restaurant. Food is decent and there are room service available but you pay a premium for it. No night markets within walking distance, you simply stay and laze around the resort. Fortunately, we sign up for a one day island hopping trip (take the package from tour operator outside of the hotel, they give better rates).
All in all, it is average but I won't come again, will try either Patong or Karon next time.
