Good Value !

by RIC HU from Singapore, 23 Jun 05

Just returned from Phuket. Stayed at Deevana Spa. Although the hotel is a bit off the centre of activities, I would give it a good 4-star for service & cleanliness. I will definitely go again!

Impress patong

by Benjamas Chuachai from Bangkok, 23 May 05

I like the location, clean and rate. Hope will go to visit again and will let my friends know about your hotel but in something I don't like such as in the fitness centre don't have music, water, don't turn on the air condition or fan just open air and breakfast should expand time to 11.00am like mostly hotels in the world.

Worth a visit

by steve bentley from london, 14 Jun 05

Pleasant stay, good food. A bit busy at breakfast if not early. Room spas quite cold if out of direct sunlight. Room kept clean and tidy. It's very relaxing trip. Would stay again.

Excellent

by Philip Popp from Wales, UK, 27 Jun 05

We had a lovely 4 day stay in Phuket, the weather was lovely and the beach fab! It was very quiet though. The hotel was stunning. We were really glad we stayed in the Deevana, the 2 pools were really nice. The staff were really friendly and the breakfasts were brilliant. Will definitely go back and i recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Phuket.

Have recommended it to a younger person good value for money if you could up with things that need to be addressed

by Marg & Tom Furlong from Australia, 17 Aug 05

I liked the location, most of the staff were good but you had to ask for the basic things to be done like clean the room properly and even then we gave up in the end towels, soap tea coffee water etc in the room, we would wait for the room to be cleaned then go and ask for the things that were missing. Pretty disappointing. No hot water in the bathroom sink absolutely astonishing stayed at over 20 hotels on our world trip and have never encountered that before, the hotel was built without it. Spoke to manager about it. Had booked a certain room about 6/7 weeks prior and couldn't get that room, very surprised.

In our opinion staff need training in how to look after people that have paid good money and expect everything just to be there and not have to ask for things everyday. Bed so hard had to have a blanket and doona folded into four so that I could sleep on it then still pretty hard. Very good resort but a few things need to addressed. The staff issue and no hot water in bathroom sink hard for men to shave etc. Will be even better if these things are addressed.

Our Holiday Heaven

by Nadya from Singapore, 27 Sep 05

I had my vacation with my two other girlfriends in Phuket and it's our first time to Phuket and we know nuts about the place, but, I decided to book this resort cause of the good reviews and it's affordable.

However, when we actually stayed there, we were more than happy. Our room was the Deluxe Triple with private jacuzzi pool. The resort looks very clean, well maintained, equipped and very nice ambiance with palm trees and excellent layout. We spent most of our time in the resort, especially in our room, we soak our self most of the time in our own private jacuzzi, got our self drunk and we had lots of fun.

The staff and service were exceptional. The staff at the pool area were very friendly, they played games with us in the games room and served us cocktails, we were treated like princess. The best part is, each time they see us, they would greet and address us by our names. Deevana staff are very helpful and efficient. It's a good location too, 7-11 just round the corner, food stalls, pharmacys, money changer and especially the beach, all walking distance.

I would definitely recommend this resort to anyone coz it's so affordable and satisfying. It's a three star resort and yet you feel like you are in a five star resort. Good work Deevana, keep it up!

Very Disappointed

by Regular traveller to Thailand from Australia, 26 Sep 05

I would agree totally with a previous review, the one of Marg and Tom. The staff need some serious training and the rooms although looking quite nice are not cleaned well daily and they are not stocked correctly and you have to ask repeatedly for stocks to be supplied. If you have a major problem as we did you will be stuffed around unbelievable and you will not be compensated for the problems. Staff are not capable and need to refer ever decision to the hotel manager.

The resort itself looks lovely and is very nice looking but that is about the extent of it. As it is not that old a hotel that would account for its appearance but it is a false facade. The breakfast are very very basic and if you are not there within 40 minutes of its conclusion then you better not expect much.

The only thing good was the fact that the place was relatively cheap but that a side I have stayed in many hotels throughout Thailand and this one would have to be the worst one with regards to service and amenities I have stayed in.

I would go back but only if I was desperately economising and was wanting to stay a little away from the main areas of Patong.

Magnificent resort

by ROBYN KEARNEY from Australia, 8 Sep 05

A magnificent resort. We really enjoyed our 7 night stay at the Deevana and will most certainly be returning. Our Deluxe Spa room was fantastic and the private spa was beautiful and very convenient. Breakfast was very enjoyable and a huge selection to choose from. We dined in the restaurant and apart from our starters arriving after the main course it was delicious. Thanks to all at the Deevana for a great stay.

Will stay again!

by Brandon Lim from Malaysia, 26 Jun 05

Clean, spacious room and the hotel looks new and refreshing. Quite huge area to explore around with nice pools and a 'botanical' type garden. Food is good but should have more variety. Not far from the beach and very near to food stalls and travel agents and etc... Convenient and good value for money.

Good place to stay in Patong

by Anonymous user from Singapore, 23 Aug 05

Really nice hotel not too far away to all the locations (night life, beach, ...) in Patong, but very quiet (no noise from streets or clubs).

Very large hotel with "traditional" rooms on 3 or 4 floor around a large pool and additional a so called "garden wing": a lot of rooms (in only one floor buildings) in a huge garden with dense trees with nice pool in the middle. Therefore this rooms are a little bit dark. Rooms there also a little bit loveless furnished but clean and spacious.

Breakfast is really nice: of good quality and variety (European and Asian food)!
