Will be back for its quality
by Darren & Carissa from AUSSIE PERTH, 18 Jan 07
Fab staff will bend over backward to assist. If staying as couple check if you have Queen. Hotel is rated at 3 star but has the trimmings of 5 and is very impressive. Happy hour good drinking value then move into town.
Overall we'll be back again its just great very happy. Remember its only a hotel and if you are unhappy for any reason your only there to sleep. It also comes with budget accommodation hence the superior wing is the BEST you always get what you pay for so spend extra get the superior wing.

We would never go back there!
by Lorin Kim Staats from Milwaukee, WI, 8 Mar 07
There was one pool that was clean and nice in the new section of the hotel, but in the old area the pool was dirty.
We would never go back there!

Recommended Accomodation
by Jane Barnes from Sydney, Australia, 19 May 07
The location was ok if you don't mind walking! The breakfasts were excellent, except limited choice of cereals. The gardens and surroundings were gorgeous with lots of wildlife. Great value for money. Clean and comfortable, but the drains in the bath room at times were very smelly, but that can be the case anywhere on the island.

Good value
by Hani Ahmad from Singapore, 28 May 07
No bathtub but happy with coffee/tea making facilities for my daily green tea intake. Bed was hard but no bother there except for the hard pillows that kept me tossing and turning all night.
Breakfast was ok - western and Asian variety. The pool is most lovely and always empty due to the low season. Even the one at the garden wing looks great and inviting. Had a peep at the garden view rooms. Very basic but should be ok for the budget-constraint. A little dark and quiet though and a bit of a walk to the main lobby. Gym is a laugh - no treadmill and the lone stationery bike creaks. Almost all equipment have seen better days. Stayed 10mins and was out like a shot.
Deevana is a 10-min walk to the beach and if you turn left when you leave the hotel and walk straight down, you will pass by Patong Premier Hotel with its open air seafood stalls, further down is Patong Bayshore Hotel and Seasons Temporary spa (very good and decent and unlike those sleazy-looking massage parlours cum beauty salons -they can do a wonderful French manicure and pedicure for 500baht. Thai oil massage 400baht but paid 300baht after 20% discount.
Straight ahead is Royal Paradise Hotel with its street stalls selling souvenirs and whatnot. The streets get busier at this junction. Another 5mins walk will take you to the newest mall, Jungceylon (about a couple of months old I was told). There's Carrefour supermarket, F&B outlets like Burger King, Swensen's, Starbucks, great foot massage at 250baht at basement, Boots, Dunkin Donuts, Robinson dept store, Indian restaurant, Fuji Japanese restaurant and a huge sports shop. Sports labels like Nike, Adidas at 40% discount. Bought Adidas jacket for about 900baht and a friend bought Adidas football jerseys for 270baht on average each.
Bangla road is just across the street with its go-go bars if you're into that kind of thing. Oh, and a must-go restaurant called No.6 somewhere along the stretch before Jungceylon. It has long benches instead of normal chairs and has a warm and cosy atmosphere - no aircon but very popular among tourists. Ate there twice 'coz the Western and Thai food was cheap and good. You get to chit chat with other fellow travellers as well. Found out from one Canadian couple that restaurant no.6 was featured in the Lonely Planet guidebook as a must-go place in Phuket!
My return flight was early in the morning but Deevana was kind enough to provide boxed breakfast at 6am - sandwiches, bananas, boiled egg and mineral water. You have to make prior arrangements though. All in all, a most pleasant stay. Value for money during the low season. Highly recommended.

Laguage barrier can be a problem at your expense
by Annonymous User from Victoria, Australia, 19 Jul 07
ROOM MIX UP...
-------------------
As far as the hotel we requested a 2 room suite which were interconnecting and one with double bed and other with 3 singles before departure. When we arrive we received 2 single beds in one room and another room a couple of rooms up with two single beds.. we were very unhappy because we have two young children ... look what happen with maddie from Engand. We also requested another room close by with a double bed. We got two single beds in a room the other side of the resort for our friends. It was finally sorted out the next day but wasn't a good start to a family holiday.
THE POOL
-------------------
The pool fabulous! in it every day and was cleaned every day. Our bar attender was awesome with the kids... they all hung off him! (felt a little sorry for him actually)
THE FOOD
-------------------
The breakfast was beautiful ... don't think I ate the same thing once there was so much to choose from! the food at the pool bar was yummy especially the chips...
TUK TUK
-------------------
Expect to pay about 150 baht for a tuk tuk on the way to the markets and 200 on the way back .. They have one way roads!
THE BILLS
-------------------
When we were checking out our bills were mixed up due to the room swap. we fixed up the bills but they had added a few extra drinks on ours which were meant to be free with the meals. IT TOOK 4 PEOPLE TO WORK OUT AND STILL NOTHING WAS DONE! we walked out disappointed and payed for the extra drinks.
TOURS
-------------------
MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT BOOK TOURS THROUGH THE HOTEL!!! we did that mistake and paid full price the next tour we went on to the street for and got it for half price! we are talking $50 dollars less a person here!!!
