Very friendly staff,room OK you get what you pay for (standard]. Pool very nice and good service at poolside. We stayed for 9 nights and are satisfied.Breakfast ok can be better with some yogurt maybe.The walk to the beach is about 10 minutes, no problem.

Service & food was excellent. The staff could not do enough, always happy & available.

Two swimming pools was bonus.
Food was great - we visited other places to eat but kept returning as the quality of the food,value & service was great
(as were the cocktails).

One of the few places in Phuket where you can book adjoining rooms for teenagers.

Great bookshop nextdoor & cheap "711"

The location is very good, breakfast is good, you could rent a motorbike just outside the hotel to other places, and 7-11 is just by the side of the hotel, life is very convenient! I feel really relax when living there, if my friend will go to Phuket, I 'll recommend her this hotel.

We just stayed for 2 days. For such a short time it was ok. The service was very nice, esp. at the restaurant. The room was clean, but a little bit small, but we liked the huge balcony with the view to a nice flowered tree.

The beach was for us to far away - ca. 15-20min to walk along a main street, but the sand and water was very nice. - But to many tourists!

2 weeks in that hotel with 1 children 3 years - very good place for children with the 2 pools - near the beach - no noise ..prefer the deluxe or superior ..the standard are small...the restaurant is famous.

Very quite position, the room was very comfortable in a garden setting with pond containing Catfish, swing, bridge over pond with pagoda. Very relaxing situation. Would recommend Kata Country House Superior rooms to anyone.

Although we booked a standard room, we felt that we were accommodated in what could be described as an overspill standard room. This was basic but functional. We saw inside a standard room which was much better than ours. Apart from this problem, everything at Kata Country House was very good - quite position, good breakfast, friendly staff, good security boxes (in the reception).

You get what you pay for and for the price this hotel was OK not brilliant. Location very good easy walk to bars and restaurants and only 10 minutes to beach but as we stayed peak season Xmas- New Year 08 Kata beach was very crowded made worse by the fact that we arrived from the long deserted sandy beaches of Khao Lak.

Good for shopping and restaurants. Pool OK but not huge, rooms not that big and a bit dated. Must say Manager and staff were very good on arrival shower in room was broken this was fixed and new shower head fitted. Stayed with my wife and 13 year old son. We would all love to stay in 5 star resorts but if on a budget this is value for money.

There is nothing negative that we could say about Kata Country House. The staff are friendly and warm, and go out of their way to help you whenever they can. Their restaurant serves great, authentic Thai food!

The rooms were spotless and were cleaned daily. They had powerful air conditioners, which kept the room very cool in the heat, and a fridge which was stocked daily with water. The bathroom was very clean, and the beds very comfortable.

By far, the best part of the hotel were the two pools. Both had sun chairs around the edges, as well as staff who brought drinks and food from the near by bar. One pool even had one of those 'swim up bars' that completed the postcard image of the hotel.

Location wise, the hotel is positioned in a very easy walking distance to the beach and near local restaurants and shops. It is situated in a very family friendly area of the town as well. We always felt safe and very welcomed!

Stay here - you will not be disappointed.

I actually did not get to see any rooms from Kata Country House. I booked through AtSiam and paid for my room in advance (as usual) and arrived with my wife on the day that I booked, 25/12/2007 (our wedding anniversary) at around 7pm. Well, they checked me in at the reception and gave me a room number with a breakfast coupon but they said that they can't find the key. They asked us to wait in the reception. Well, we waited for half an hour and found out that their reception area, although nicely decorated, was infested with mosquitoes. I must have had 10 mosquitoes bites just sitting there waiting. To our horror, they came back after half an hour telling us that they have made a mistake. They SOLD our room earlier that day by mistake. They will take us to ANOTHER hotel down the road and they have a room for us there. Well, it was Christmas day and most hotels in Phuket are fully booked so I am not about to compliant there and argue with them. They drove us to a hotel about 200 meters away off the main road and it is called Dome. I can say that the room was large, clean but basic. It was a VERY basic condo set up with a living room and 2 bedrooms and a bath room. There are no TVs in the bedrooms. The room was clean but it has not been lived in for a long time because there was dust and cob webs covering every part of the room.
