A great place for families or couples to stay!
by Jane from Nova Scotia, Canada, 20 Apr 06
The staff are nice and gentle and willing to help with whatever is needed. The only thing I would like to see added are places to put our clothes in the rooms. There are no clothing bureaus or shelves. (yes there is a closet). It is about a 10 minutes walk from the beach and being in Kata Beach is much cheaper, quieter and less weird than Patong!

Home away from home
by Victor Mak from Seattle, WA, 27 Mar 06
Spotless and lots of room. Comfortable king-sized bed and comforter, quiet air-con. The entire compound is well-groomed with pathways and fragrant flowers. It is a convenient 10 minute walk to Kata beach, or into Kata center. Dinner at their restaurant was average; you can do better elsewhere, but in a pinch (such as a sudden tropical rainstorm!) it is OK. We will stay here again!

Quiet, Relaxing and Good for Kids
by Amy S. from U.S.A., 4 Mar 07
At first they said they didn't have any baby cribs, but then towards the end of our stay they found one for us -- so if you are bringing your baby, remind them that they really do have baby cots in storage!
There is a 7-eleven store right outside the front entrance, which is very convenient when you have a young family. There is a very busy road out front, which was not so good for kids, but you would never know it when you are on the grounds because it is so quiet and peaceful. We all really enjoyed the breakfast buffet, too, which is included in the cost of the room. The beach was a little bit of a walk with our small children, and the atmosphere of Kata Beach was more than we bargained for -- we were expecting it to be more laid back. As it turned out there was a lot more night life than we were expecting and the beach was a lot more crowded. But this wasn't Kata Country House's fault! If we ever do make it back to Kata Beach, we will definitely stay there again.

Quiet Cosy Place - Great Value for Money!
by Ioanna from Singapore, 16 Mar 07
Service was good and food was decent at a decent price - we ate in twice as we found it really as good as any of the other restaurants without having to pay a lot.
7-eleven & bookshop located at entrance which is really convenient. Also, in the evenings, the street stalls come with Thai BBQ food - cheap and delicious!
Though only 10 to 15-minute walk to the beach and main shops, it can put one off especially in the hot sun. The walk in the early mornings and evenings is quite pleasant.
I will definitely stay here again if I come back to Kata.

This is the hotel to stay in Kata!
by Philip from Victoria, Australia, 14 Jan 08
The rooms were spotless and were cleaned daily. They had powerful air conditioners, which kept the room very cool in the heat, and a fridge which was stocked daily with water. The bathroom was very clean, and the beds very comfortable.
By far, the best part of the hotel were the two pools. Both had sun chairs around the edges, as well as staff who brought drinks and food from the near by bar. One pool even had one of those 'swim up bars' that completed the postcard image of the hotel.
Location wise, the hotel is positioned in a very easy walking distance to the beach and near local restaurants and shops. It is situated in a very family friendly area of the town as well. We always felt safe and very welcomed!
Stay here - you will not be disappointed.
