Kata Country House Phuket Reviews & Ratings

I actually did not get to see any rooms from Kata Country House. I booked through AtSiam and paid for my room in advance (as usual) and arrived with my wife on the day that I booked, 25/12/2007 (our wedding anniversary) at around 7pm. Well, they checked me in at the reception and gave me a room number with a breakfast coupon but they said that they can't find the key. They asked us to wait in the reception. Well, we waited for half an hour and found out that their reception area, although nicely decorated, was infested with mosquitoes. I must have had 10 mosquitoes bites just sitting there waiting. To our horror, they came back after half an hour telling us that they have made a mistake. They SOLD our room earlier that day by mistake. They will take us to ANOTHER hotel down the road and they have a room for us there. Well, it was Christmas day and most hotels in Phuket are fully booked so I am not about to compliant there and argue with them. They drove us to a hotel about 200 meters away off the main road and it is called Dome. I can say that the room was large, clean but basic. It was a VERY basic condo set up with a living room and 2 bedrooms and a bath room. There are no TVs in the bedrooms. The room was clean but it has not been lived in for a long time because there was dust and cob webs covering every part of the room.

Very friendly staff,room OK you get what you pay for (standard]. Pool very nice and good service at poolside. We stayed for 9 nights and are satisfied.Breakfast ok can be better with some yogurt maybe.The walk to the beach is about 10 minutes, no problem.

This resort was really nice, surrounding with the garden and feel hommy... it just not too convenient beach holiday since club med wall is all around and walking distance to the beach is far ... also I think Phuket beaches is too touristic, definitely I'll not go back to Phuket because still lot of other beaches in Thailand much more beautiful and relaxing then Kata/Phuket, example Krabi.

We just stayed for 2 days. For such a short time it was ok. The service was very nice, esp. at the restaurant. The room was clean, but a little bit small, but we liked the huge balcony with the view to a nice flowered tree.

The beach was for us to far away - ca. 15-20min to walk along a main street, but the sand and water was very nice. - But to many tourists!

I advise this address highly. The personnel is very pleasant. This hotel has much charm: flowered garden, two beautiful swimming pools. Most pleasant it is that it is not one scrapes sky and that the rooms are raparties in a harmonieuse way on their site.

Here one can rest. Located very well.

This is a nice place. It is quiet, and rustic- the bungalows allow you to really feel like you are off on your own. The pool area is beautiful, and it is a nice walk of about 5 or 10 minutes to the beach. The price was excellent providing fantastic overall value.

A nice small and cosy hotel with friendly staff. Nice pool area and clean and tidy everywhere. Breakfast was very good. We rent standard rooms and they were ok and clean but not luxurious. 10-15 minutes walk to the beach. A long wall to walk around to get to the beach. A busy street to get to the beach. I would stay here again. Good value for money.

This place is a perfect place. The location is...I would say strategic. It's a few 10+ minutes of walk away from the beach and the shops. The staffs are very helpful, warm, friendly and easy to communicate with. Environment wise, the place is built surrounded by nature.

The rate of the hotel is reasonable. A good choice of stay for people who is visiting Phuket with a low budget on accommodation and much to spend on goods, foods and other activities. Even the tuk tuk...so called taxi is easily made available, or they also provide a personal transport at a reasonable rate...wise choice for family or groups.

We stayed at Kata Country House in March 2006 and we loved every minute! To begin with, we booked a bungalow but we didn´t like it at all, so we talk with the staff and they asked if we would like to change to the poolside rooms ... We loved it! It was perfect! Just a small jump over the balconyfence and we where in the pool!
The staff was very service minded och the breakfast was okay!

We had a very pleasant stay: room (deluxe) was great, nice buffet breakfast, relaxed atmosphere, very well organized (incl. taxi service) and friendly & helpful staff. We will come back - thank you!

One remark: let your customers know, that they should behave quietly, when they use the pool at 7am. or allow pool use only from 8am - 10pm.
