I can recommend Kata country house

A nice small and cosy hotel with friendly staff. Nice pool area and clean and tidy everywhere. Breakfast was very good. We rent standard rooms and they were ok and clean but not luxurious. 10-15 minutes walk to the beach. A long wall to walk around to get to the beach. A busy street to get to the beach. I would stay here again. Good value for money.

A great place for families or couples to stay!

I have been at Kata Country House two times now and recommend it to my friends. It is a beautiful little spot with nice large rooms and two pools for hot evenings, plus a swim up bar.

The staff are nice and gentle and willing to help with whatever is needed. The only thing I would like to see added are places to put our clothes in the rooms. There are no clothing bureaus or shelves. (yes there is a closet). It is about a 10 minutes walk from the beach and being in Kata Beach is much cheaper, quieter and less weird than Patong!
