Patong Bay Garden Resort Reviews & Ratings

I've just returned to my home in California from Phuket, Thailand after spending 7 nights at the Patong Bay Garden Resort Hotel. I am happy to tell anyone interested in staying there that the Hotel is excellent! The location is impossible to beat, the service was very good and the facilities are too! The entire staff including the front desk, housekeeping, the Bellmen, the restaurant waiters, the spa attendants and tour planners were very courteous and very helpful at every opportunity. The grounds are in great shape, the pool was perfect and room was very clean. The furniture was nice in the lobby and inside the rooms. They even had a "welcome" sign with my name on it in front of the Hotel when I arrived!

The Hotel is right on the sand and situated near all of the action on Bang la Road and close to shopping and restaurants. I'm certain that there is no better location for a visitor that comes to Patong Beach on Phuket Island for business or pleasure. I could and did walk everywhere I needed to go from the Hotel within 10 minutes at most.

You could do many things for fun on the beach. There were wave runners and para-sailing for hire as well as lounge chairs and umbrellas to relax on and under. The Patong Bay Garden Resort Hotel has a bar, massage spa and restaurant located right on the sand so refreshment of many kinds is easily available. Try the wood oven cooked pizza!

My only suggestion is for the Hotel to possibly get some newer hair dryers installed in the bathrooms. When I held the hose for any length of time, it became a little hot in my hand and difficult to hold. The location of the hair dryers right next to the door caused the bathroom door to hit it on occasion. That problem could easily be remedied by moving the placement of the hair dryer away from the doorway.

The price for the rooms was very good too! The Hotel far exceeded my expectations.

My hubby and i spent 1 week at the resort for our wedding anni and we enjoyed every moment of it. The staffs were really friendly and always there for us. There is so much to say and write but the best advic would be...Go there and experience it yourself. Its worth the money and time.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 4nights. We didn't expect much at first but from the moment we arrived until we checked out we had excellent service and warm hospitality from the staffs.

The location is perfect!! The famous Patong Beach is just a few steps away from your room. The pool is small but wonderful facing to the sea. We stayed in junior suite room. It has a living room and a private terrace. We really had a great time there. The room price is also affordable. We're planning to go back again on December.

I pity the staff here. They try ever so hard and are patient with the guests. But my room was smelly uncomfortable and noisy. It very seedy there and not what I expected. Lots of men you don't want near your daughter. The last straw was when I was joined in the pool by a stray dog! Its too seedy to take my family and we returned to Bangkok early complete with flea bites! We will go to Phuket, again but not here!

Very convenient to the nightlife of Soi Bangla ... and of course being right there on the beautiful Beach.The room was nice and clean and the furniture etc. was all modern/up to date.Staff were, as always, very courteous.

Well worth the cost.

CAUTION: if one PLANS on taking a lady friend to their room for the night ... they TRY to charge extra (1,000 Baht) for that. SO the way to get around it...AHEAD of time BOOK FOR TWO (even though there may only be one of you going) ... it costs no more and you are covered for a "companion" stay PLUS the extra breakfast in the morning.

I have already stayed on four occasions at this hotel and been very satisfied. However on this last occasion I found to my surprise that major renovations were under way on the beach bar and restaurant, which were closed for this reason, and the view of the beach was seriously restricted. In addition the sawing, hammering and drilling started at 7:30 am every day rendering sleep impossible and the swimming pool very unpleasant. No warning had been given of these disruptions at the time of reservation and no discount was given. I consider this to be dishonest.
