Bad experience

by JC from Hong Kong, 23 Nov 08

I am so disappointed by the arrangement of the hotel. We have reserved the hotel on Nov 7 but upon the arrival, they said the hotel was still under renovation, and had transferred us to another hotel.

Actually, I had sent email to the hotel a week ago to confirm if they could finish the renovation on 7 Nov, and they said yes. But in the end, they cannot meet their promise.

They sent us to the hotel nearby called Patong Premium. The staff said it was the only hotel they could provide NO CHOICE. We are so disappointed by their arrangement.

Won't be a second time

by Anonymous User from Hong Kong, 30 Dec 05

This place is pretty run down. The room I stayed in (#1128) has no view, is really small and it looks like it hasn't been decorated in 20 years. The bed is hard. The room does has a great Air Con (nice and quiet, it's the best part of the room), a TV and a fridge. There was NO bath tube in the bathroom. As a matter of fact, it doesn't even have a shower place, it just have a shower curtain draped across the bathroom with a shower head and a drain. The shower curtain is dirty. The breakfast room needs decoration and the food is only average at best.

If location is a must for you, you can try this hotel, but if you don't mind a short taxi ride or a long walk to the beach, don't waste you money here.

Great base for relaxation

by Laura Rosadoni from Port Elliot, SA, Australia, 31 Oct 07

This location was perfect. Away from the main hustle & bustle of the pier, close to Carpe Diem - a great place to eat, drink & just hang out. Breakfast was pretty uninspiring, but would rather go for a walk along the beach and pick up breakfast for small change at one of the many places on the island.

As I was travelling with 3 children staying together in the one room, would choose to stay here again - for the cost and location.

Good location, a bit run down hotel

by zack from kuala lumpur, 24 Aug 07

I stayed here for 3 nights, the location was superb-all major attractions were just walking distance from the hotel, very safe to walk home even at 2pm.

The setback - room was very small, bathroom was tiny with very low water pressure and hot water was not functioning!!! I will definitely come back to Phuket but not to Patong Bayshore hotel as many more `better looking` hotel available at the same price near that area.

Quiet and Cosy

by Anonymous user from Singapore, 3 Aug 05

If you prefer somewhere quiet and cosy, this would be the place you want to stay. It's excellent value and their staffs are always ready to help. We enjoyed our 4 days stay with Patong Bayshore Hotel.

Best pool ever!

by J&K from Australia, 31 Mar 07

I loved the Patong Bayshore Hotel. The staff are amazing, the pool was the best we swam in during our stay in Thailand. The rooms could have been a little more modern but you don't really go overseas to spend time in the hotel room do you! The two for one cocktails were fantastic as well as the hotel's proximity to nightlife (check out the Aussie bar), markets and the beach. This hotel is Great!

We will be back without a doubt

by from WA, Australia, 12 Sep 07

The Bayshore was absolutely lovely. We wanted a budget holiday and we were expecting the hotel to be sub standard but were pleasantly surprised. The staff are great, the food was great and the pool area too. It is also situated within walking distance from everything and not too close to the busy center of Patong.

Absolute value for money.

Great hotel for the price

by Annonymous User from New Zealand, 27 Apr 07

Booked a standard room as well as a Superior. The standard room was on the 1st floor and was satisfactory but for 100Baht more the room on the ground floor opening onto the garden and pool area was well worth it. Lovely pool, helpful staff. This hotel was far better than expected, excellent value for money. Great breakfast. Walk through the Club Andaman to the beach. Good location. 10minutes Bangla Rd and beach. No nightclub noise. We would stay again.
