1st visit to Phuket

5 mins walk from Patong beach...what more could i ask for!!! Clean comfortable beds, safe location, no issues about walking back to the hotel really late at night.
Buffet breakfast was pretty normal, although would like to see a more Thai variety, like the barbecue Chicken or noodle soup (can be found along the streets).
Very helpful & friendly staff, airy lounge area (while waiting for your mini-van/taxi).

Pleasent stayed at Poppa Palace

We stayed 4 nights at Poppa Palace from 9 - 12th May 08. This little hotel located conveniently around everything. They did the room service everyday. Their staffs are very helpful. I recommended this hotel to anyone who wish to go to Phuket.

Technical problems

The air condition from the neighbor room was heart in my room and was very disturbing. The water in the bathroom was few days yellow - brown, it was a defect, no alternate for a shower. Otherwise the hotel was ok.

Poppa palace hotel is very close to Bangla Rd. where the action on Patong takes place. Short walk from the beach. Close to eating en shops. ie. a very good place to stay.
Will certainly be back in this hotel next time we come to Patong.

Perfect for me!

2nd time I have stayed here, great location, close to the gay area, which suits me, a short walk to the str8 bars. Staff very friendly and welcome to return visitors, they remembered me from my first trip. No hesitation staying here again, everyone is treated as welcome and equal.

I won't be staying there in my next trip

The staffs at the receptionist isn't friendly at all. The driver who pick us up from the airport can't even communicate in English thus we can't communicate anything during our journey from airport to hotel. But the tour desk lady was indeed very friendly. Thumbs up for her.

It's close to everything, and yet we lived there fully undisturbed. The staff is always helpful and makes one fell welcomed. We had a room with mountain view, and in general it was a perfect resting place.

I will definately stay here again!

Had a wonderful stay here, the location, staff, room was excellent, western breakfast average, but thats standard for Thailand. Located a few minutes walk from Paradise Complex and no trouble at all having 'guests' overnight.

Worth the price

Convenient location, pretty close to all the stuff but quiet as well. 4 minutes to bang-la rd. Ask for the shortcut to the beach. Strict deadline for room service - 3pm! First room was a bit smelly. Rooms on the 5th floor (top) are a bit smaller then the other ones. Only news channels on tv - no HBO, UBC or something. Staff is extremely friendly and most of the time very helpfully. In-room-WLAN for extra charge.

It's value for money!

The location is great, close to everything (shops & food). Though, you have to walk a bit to the beach (5-10mins). Room & bathroom in general is quite clean. Bed is big but the pillow is slightly too high for me. A breakfast is basic but has enough choices. Receptionist was helpful and friendly.
Downsides, Air-con was dripping the whole night even though we reported to the staff and they said they fixed it already.. still the 2nd night was still dripping.
In general, it’s worth the money (900thb/nite). If we’ve ever want to go back to Patong Beach again, we probably will stay in this hotel.
