I won't be staying there in my next trip

The staffs at the receptionist isn't friendly at all. The driver who pick us up from the airport can't even communicate in English thus we can't communicate anything during our journey from airport to hotel. But the tour desk lady was indeed very friendly. Thumbs up for her.

Staff, please mind to change your attitude towards South East Asians

Poppa Palace is a new hotel with nice and clean rooms. They have got quiet environment even it is located in the heart of Patong town. I enjoyed the atmosphere so much.
However, I was fairly disappointed with the hotel receptionists' attitude. Although they looked friendly, but they hardly smiled/greeted us and answered questions without looking into our faces. But yet they were so cheerful to the Western tourists.
I don't mean to speak discrimination here, but some how I did experience a gracious grin by a budget hostel/dormitory staff. We are tourists, too!

Will stay there again...

Friendly and helpful staffs, just that English isn't exactly their strength. They've got a small swimming pool, which is kinda of cute ;) Breakfast has both Thai and western style but the spread was rather small. 5 min walk to the Patong Beach through the shortcut (need to ask the locals for direction).
The view from our room was rather unsightly since there is a Chinese's Grave right in front of the balcony. Other than that, nothing much to complain about the room. On the whole, the stay was quite pleasant, may consider staying there again.

We'll be back!

We were 2 weeks in Poppa Palace and we liked it there very much. Room was excellent and clean. Air-conditioner on the balcony was hot and noisy. Location was perfect (near to Bangla ;). Breakfast was not so good (maybe we have used to eat differently at mornings). Stuff was friendly and smiley. Pool was small but OK. We can heartily recommend this hotel for everybody ... good value for money. See you again very soon!

Best choice!

Good place to stay, close to the beach ... and nearly to all shopping place and night life. All Staffs are helpful ... everything is quite good ... just only food that they don't have in service only breakfast, but you must to wake up early morning.

Anytime again

I have enjoyed my stay at the Poppa Palace and would book the same place again. Nice clean rooms, good service, near to the beach and to the main Bangla road.

Worth the price

Convenient location, pretty close to all the stuff but quiet as well. 4 minutes to bang-la rd. Ask for the shortcut to the beach. Strict deadline for room service - 3pm! First room was a bit smelly. Rooms on the 5th floor (top) are a bit smaller then the other ones. Only news channels on tv - no HBO, UBC or something. Staff is extremely friendly and most of the time very helpfully. In-room-WLAN for extra charge.

It's value for money!

The location is great, close to everything (shops & food). Though, you have to walk a bit to the beach (5-10mins). Room & bathroom in general is quite clean. Bed is big but the pillow is slightly too high for me. A breakfast is basic but has enough choices. Receptionist was helpful and friendly.
Downsides, Air-con was dripping the whole night even though we reported to the staff and they said they fixed it already.. still the 2nd night was still dripping.
In general, it’s worth the money (900thb/nite). If we’ve ever want to go back to Patong Beach again, we probably will stay in this hotel.

Technical problems

The air condition from the neighbor room was heart in my room and was very disturbing. The water in the bathroom was few days yellow - brown, it was a defect, no alternate for a shower. Otherwise the hotel was ok.

Poppa palace hotel is very close to Bangla Rd. where the action on Patong takes place. Short walk from the beach. Close to eating en shops. ie. a very good place to stay.
Will certainly be back in this hotel next time we come to Patong.
