Will come back
by Frank Tischner from Germany, 9 Mar 07
Very good breakfast buffet American style and Thai style, rooms clean, beds new, bathroom could be better, the hotel is completely new, the bathrooms not, towels available for pool and beach, three minutes to the beach, everything in good and new condition, I can recommend this hotel 100%

Good for Value
by Zayn from Singapore, 18 Jun 07
The hotel is good value for money. Nice & big rooms. I love the pool as it allows my baby is play with the water safely.
However, the variety for breakfast could have been better.

Nice clean room, great pool for kids.
by Eddy Iskandar from Medan, Indonesia, 28 Jun 07
We booked 3 rooms at Ramada Karon from June 18-20. The hotel is very clean and quite, probably low season. Kids loved the pool, but kids over 8 years old might not be interested with the free Kids Club activity. Play station and theater charge a small fee.
All of us thought the breakfast was nice, employees are all very friendly. You need to walk about good 10-15 minutes to the beach and 15 minutes to markets. There is a pond across the road, I wonder if it is a water treatment plant/reservoir cause my room sometimes has this sewer smell and it was not coming from the toilet.
We would recommend that you hire car for going around, it's only about B1000-1500 for 8 hours. Contact Mr. Bamrung Massuwan 083-3947718, 089-8754272. He always parked in front of the hotel just across the road. He took us to his wife small road side restaurant and I could get a close look of how Thai food is prepared.
We will definitely to back to Phuket and stay in this hotel again. But June and July is monsoon season. I was told Jan-Feb is the best time to see Phuket as the sea is very calm.

Fabulous for Families
by Anonymous User from Australia, 24 Oct 07
We stayed here at the beginning of October for 6 nights and found it to be just what we were looking for to end our holiday. As we were traveling with two small children we made good use of the Kid's Club and the Kid's Pool area. We left the kids in the Kid's Club for a couple of hours and they absolutely loved it! My 18 month old son had one carer allocated just to him so I was sure he was safe!
Breakfast at Joe Cool's was great.
Being a buffet it is much the same on offer each day but there is enough of a choice that you can have something different each day if you wish. Again, there was lots on offer for the kids too and we found it easy to find stuff for them to eat.
Being a little bit removed from Karon was lovely and it was a relaxing 5 minute walk around the pond to get into the hustle and bustle and about a 10 minute tuk tuk ride into Patong.
We had a junior suite which was quite big enough. We set up a spare bed and a cot in the living area which still left us a lot of room to move in.
I would definitely stay here again- in fact I don't know that the kids will let us stay anywhere else!
