My children love the pool :-)

My children love the pool and clamoured to go back as the next hotel we went to did not have a wading children pool. However, the staff, especially at the reception, are not very friendly and speak very little English. Otherwise, we did enjoy our week's stay as it was close to the beach and the deluxe room is spacious.

Will go back again

I booked their package and was later upgraded to the deluxe room. It looked pretty nice, large and spacious. Design was good as well. As I walked past those standard rooms, they looked really small, not like what I see in their website. I was lucky to have the free upgrade.

Cleanliness was alright, although the day before my check-out, they did not do a thorough job. Toilets were not clean fully, I expect that the sink top will be clean and dry and any water holes unclogged.

Location was quite good, about 10 minutes walk to Bangla Road and near to the beach but as with most hotels you need to walk across the road to get there.

The hotel's restaurant was nicely facing the road,as such has many guests which probably allowed them to offer a more competitive prices.

Great value for money

Hotel staff were good as always in Thailand. Food was good and the rooms were very good also, however it didn't seem to matter where you sat at the pool you could hear the swimming pool pump and it was difficult to relax with the noise.

But overall very good value for money.

Good place to stay, everything was more then ok during my stay. Staff very friendly and helpfull.

I will stay here again. Breakfast buffet is good, many choices.

I can not tell nothing bad about this hotel. I like to thank the staff for their kindness.

The Tara Patong is a wonderful Hotel. The staff are amazing. They are so friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is in a perfect place with a 2 minute walk to the beach, markets and nightlife and only 5 minutes from jungceylon.

Lax security

Rooms needed a more fresh look - wooden cupboards old & don't close properly, even the tamarind rooms which I stayed in.

The period I stayed in had some noisy guests @ the pool. Can be disturbing esp at nights. B'fast in a non air-con restaurant where flies are found on the fruits. Security non existent at Patong beach side entrance/exit.

We will go back to this hotel but in a Deluxe room

It was a very good hotel. The rooms were standard rooms not any luxe. Staff was very kindly and helpful. Very friendly staff at reception desk. You have good value for money, next time we take Deluxe room for a little bit more luxe. Very nice children's swimming pool.

No worries

Absolutely loved it. As a mother with teenage daughters aged 15 I was worried for safety but this location and hotel allowed me to leave them lazying at the pools while I went shopping or swimming in the sea. They loved the fact that we could walk everywhere we needed to go and the hotel staff were always friendly and eager to please.

I am already planning my next trip and will be staying at Thara Patong again.

Look No Further

Having stayed at this Hotel a few times before, we were looking forward to the Super King, on arrival we were shown to our room with a King and a double. We are a couple and did not require the double, and we asked where is the Super King. We were informed that only a small number of rooms offer the Super King Bed, (previous visits we struck lucky) sad but now I know which rooms have these beds, I can order them for the future.

A great Hotel.

Good Value for money

Overall good services, friendly staffs and VERY NICE LOCATION. 1 minutes working distance from your room to shopping stalls and 3 minutes to patong beach.
