We will return to Thailand but probably not to this hotel
by William A Bailey from South Australia, Australia, 20 Jul 08
Resort was just a little to far out from Patong to be convenient to shops and restaurants etc. Needing reliance on either shuttles or taxis etc. Other than that facilities were reasonable with nothing special for complaint.

Just to the North of Town!
by David Taylor from London, UK., 15 Jun 05
I have stayed in this hotel twice, once in Feb 2005, and once in May 2005. The hotel is nice, and of a good size - not too small and not too big. It is a little to the north of Patong Beach - but only 5 mins by 100 baht Tuk-tuk.
The check-in procedure is overly bureaucratic, with many irrelevant questions on the forms. As with many things in Thailand - patience is a virtue.
Breakfast is not bad, but sometimes the staff need some prodding to get their attention.
Overall the rooms are of a good size, it is a quiet location. There is a nice pool, with an adjoining bar. I used the snooker room located on the 2nd floor, and the table was in good condition.
Internet access can be arranged, but again more bureaucracy, just to get a Username and password.
3 or 4 Internet PC's are located downstairs in a business area, and they are new, running XP, but I suspect they are not Broadband.
My only complaint was that on my second visit I seemed to have 10 or 15 ants in mt bathroom's wash hand basin. But since they were doing me no harm, I left them to wander around. Must be a little Bhuddist!
All in all, a nice hotel both for single people or for families. Just need to get the staff to be a touch more attentive.

Good value for your money
by Peter from Belgium, 7 Nov 06
Had a very nice holiday at sunset beach resort. Very nice rooms with all luxury. Very nice pool, always enough sun beds. Breakfast was ok, nothing special.
Only negative was location, not possible to swim in front of hotel (rocks), and a long walk to the action in Patong beach (20 minutes), there is transportation from hotel to Bangla road for free, till 2100h. Or 100 Baht Tuk Tuk (quick 1,000 Baht transportation cost each week)
But overall good value for your money.

I Will Stay Again
by Michael from Augusta, Ga, 24 Mar 07
I stayed at the sunset in August of 06. My room was very nice compared to other hotels in Patong that I have stayed at before. It is a quick ride in a tuk and just 100 baht. to the club scene. The pool was large and original in shape, although I couldn't figure out how to turn the hot tub on.
The food in the restaurant was quick and good. Although they have a business center with internet and wireless internet, it seamed a bit slow at times and was difficult to get a password. The staff was helpful at all times and when I come back to Patong Beach I will be staying here. For the money I found it was an great value.

Great Hotel, At a Low Price
by M. Smith from Augusta, GA, 28 May 07
Hotels can be so expensive sometimes, but I found one that is affordable as well as a great value for my money. The staff was very friendly and I concluded that they want you to have a good vacation.
It is located just outside the hustle and bustle of Patong, but only a minute ride away from shopping and fun. They have made many improvements from the last time I was there in August of 06.
If you are looking for a quiet place on the beach that isn't too far away from everything and that is nicer than what you expect for a low price... this is the place.
